You are an ex-pusser, jack, matelot and oppo of good standing, and you have happened upon the home of the EX RNZN Navy Club.

So, sit back, enjoy, and share......

The EX RNZN Navy Club is the online home for ex RNZN personnel from around NZ ,and throughout the world, where we can get together, share memories, access a wide range of articles, forums, upload and view video amd image galleries, gain information, find support and advice, enjoy some friendly banter, and meet  old (and new) friends.

If you found your way here from our original (and still very live) EX RNZN Navy Club Facebook page, you will be amongst friends here.

What is this site about?

It started when Dennis Reddaway was sitting (we can't say where, this is a public site, but ask him!) and he pondered that there needed to be a place where old Navy mates could reconnect, talk about the "good old days", share ditties, memories, images & videos, and enjoy the comaraderie that only pussers can know.

So he set up the Ex RNZN Navy club page on Facebook, thinking he might get a little interest using the net as a way of doing this.

Six weeks later that page was hitting 960 members, and growing!

This blew us away, and we realised that a single page wasn't going to do the job justice.

Three more weeks, and here we are, our own site, with full forums for each branch, land bases, ships and a general category, plus a full classifieds section, image gallery and video galleries, articles, and the opportunity for members to message each other privately (thats the "Personal Mailbox" down the left of the page'.

The whole site looks a bit lonely at the moment, there's bugger-all content until you all start writing up a storm in the forums, and do some uploading of your favourite photos & videos, put up a classified or 3, and generally give it a serve. After all, it's your ship!

We so hope you enjoy the site, use it, and let us know if you have suggestions, criticisms or problems. There is a categoriy for this in the Forums area.

Anyway, welcome aboard!

Cheers,
Your site Admins

Site Updates

June 3

  • New videos in the Video Gallery section, including a very patriotic feature video at the top of the page - long but worth the watch.

  • The top roll-over ship photos have been changed - we'll try to do this frequently so it keeps the site fresh.

June 2

  • We now have our own Blog section, and John Currin has kicked the ball off with his own Navy info blog which he updates daily with various news and images of Navy pieces from around the traps.

  • Ari Hinchco has written another of his well-considered, thought-provoking pieces, which you'll find in our Welfare and Support secion, entitled "The Search For The Last Kiwi Veteran". Ari has never been one to hold back, and nothing has changed with this one!
